Re: LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION- JOSEPHINE TSUI
Dear Sir or Madam:
JOSEPHINE TSUI spent a year in Wa, Ghana as an Engineer Without Borders volunteer. During her work term in Ghana she also volunteered for True Vision Ghana (TVG) a non-governmental organization that works to reduce the impact of HIV/AIDS on children through community capacity building including treatment, education, and empowerment of youth in Northern Ghana.
While volunteering for TVG, Josephine helped facilitate the meeting sessions with 40 orphans and vulnerable children and their caregivers that TVG currently works with. She served as a great motivator and role model to the children and inspired them to think positive and work towards their future.
True Vision Ghana is a young organization with branches in Ghana and Canada and we benefitted greatly from Josephine’s experience, knowledge, and contacts within the nonprofit sector. Josephine served as a great resource for us and directed us to valuable resources such as the Alberta Council for Global Cooperation that connects organizations across Alberta that do sustainable development work. In addition, she was instrumental in giving us context about the current and future direction of international development and helped us to construct strategic plans in moving forward with our Vision, Mission, and Goals.
We at True Vision Ghana hope you will give Josephine strong consideration for the Sauvé Scholarship. Beyond her knowledge of international development and her commitment to use her skills to improve the lives of others Josephine Tsui has already demonstrated her ability to be an agent of change through her volunteer work in Ghana.
Sincerely,
