Ghana - Intro
From September 2007 to August 2008, Josephine worked with the Ministry of Food and Agriculture of the Ghanaian government in the Upper West Region. During her time there, Josephine worked with the Wa West District in designing a facilitatory tool for extension officers to use with farmers’ groups. The tool has been integrated into a program called “Agriculture as a Business” and is now scaled up to three different regions of Ghana (Northern, Upper West and Upper East) and is being tested on 60 different extension officers.
Here are a few pictures for context;

Josephine is sitting beside this woman with her bowl of Kersting groundnuts. This woman has been brave enough to try a new variety of groundnuts to plant in her farm. These groundnuts will mature faster which helps to alleviate famine.
